And besides, I work in a nursing home, so I have plenty of experience with physically disabled folk and transferring them to and from their wheelchairs. I personally have people that come to my home and help me out with things. I just told this story.
Places like public parks can also be an option, depends on where you live and what kinds of civic venues are nearby. My fiance has mentioned to me more than once just how uncomfortable this makes him feel, and I can hardly blame him. All my friends etc are able bodied. Pretty sure cinemas have wheelchair access.
